Support Groups
We often have support groups going on at various times throughout the year.  To view our current offerings, click here.

Safe Sites

A unique program to help address sexual harassment and provide immediate assistance to community members.  Local retail businesses sign up for the program, and display a decal in their retail shop window.  This way, patrons know they can enter the store and be linked to appropriate help right from the location.  For more information or to participate in the program, email Nina Goodwin.

The I Want a World Campaign

This project is the first of its kind sexual and domestic violence prevention campaign in Massachusetts focused on the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and/or queer communities, created in partnership between Jane Doe, Inc. and The Network/La Red.  We support this campaign with a focus on two goals: to spread awareness about sexual and domestic violence in LGBTQ communities and to ensure that services, systems and the public respond and meet the needs of LGBTQ survivors and victims.  You can help shape this campaign. Express how you envision a world free of sexual and domestic violence in LGBTQ communities by submitting a video, poetry, drawing or art in whatever medium works best for you directly to www.iwantaworld.janedoe.org.

Stand Against Racism (hosted each April)

Joining with the National YWCA and sister YWCA’s throughout the country, each April we Take a Stand Against Racism, and commemorate one of our core mission areas: helping to eliminate racism throughout our communities and society. Together with colleagues and community members, we take the Stand Against Racism pledge.

You can stand with us by gathering your coworkers, colleagues, friends, family or group and take the pledge!

Sexual Assault Awareness Month [April]

In recognition and support of bringing awareness to sexual assault and violence, each April we host and/or participate in several events.  Check back after March 1, 2015 for a schedule of events.

YWCA NSRCC Walks for HAWC (hosted each May]
Annually, we participate in and support our friends at HAWC [Healing Abuse, Working for Change).  Check back with us after April 1, 2015 for more information.

Annual Celebration & Meeting (November)

Each November, we invite our supporters, board members, staff and the public to join us for our Annual Celebration & Meeting.

In this short, early morning event, you’ll hear directly from staff the stories, accomplishments and wins YOUR support makes our work in the community possible.

You’ll also have the opportunity to speak directly with Executive Staff, Board President and Members, and many Staff, while enjoying light breakfast fare.  The presentations are followed by a brief business meeting.
